For the second time in about a month, the College at Brockport community is mourning the loss of a fellow student. Domenico "Dom" Fargnoli, a senior communication major, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 27 with his family at his side. Fargnoli, a 45-year-old resident of Churchville, N.

Turning the page on textbooks

Students pay for expensive textbooks which are often not utilized or necessary

It's the end of the semester. There are only a few days left before we go home for winter break and relax for a little more than a month. Phew. But wait, how can the semester be over when there is a textbook, which was supposed to be  required for class, that hasn't been opened once all semester? The majority of students on campus have bought a textbook for a class to find the professor doesn't use it at all. 2 comments

Lupe Fiasco takes a unique sound to thrill the Brockport crowd in Tuttle South Friday, Dec. 2

Lupe Fiasco has never been a typical rapper. Anyone who attended his Friday, Dec. 2 performance in the College at Brockport's Tuttle South gym witnessed his eccentric, genre-spanning musical style firsthand. Lupe opened the show looking part-Beethoven, part-rapper, jumping around and waving his hands like a mad conductor while facing his band rather than the audience.

Brockport hockey's Saves for a Cure game against Morrisville saves playoff chances

Brockport kept its playoff hopes alive Saturday, Dec. 3 with a wild 7-6 victory over Morrisville at the fourth annual Saves for a Cure game in the Tuttle North Ice Arena. Both teams came into the game desperately needing a win, which made for a playoff-type atmosphere in the mid-season game.

Brockport student wins $100,000 in Dr. Pepper competition during PAC-12 halftime contest

The College at Brockport is no stranger to the Dr. Pepper $100,000 Tuition Give Away. The competition gives college students the chance to win tuition money for their academic studies. Contestants are asked to make a video sharing why they deserve to win tuition money and what they would use it for.
