Students have been counting down the days till the end of classes, both in Facebook statuses and away messages. However, no matter how desperate we are to get out of here, this should be a time of reflection, a time to look back on the year as a whole. It's hard to believe that not only will my Stylus career be over soon, but my college career, as well. At the end of this week, I will be done with undergrad classes forever, and will walk the creepy halls near The Stylus office one last time. Our economy has continued to fail, tensions with Iran's Mahmoud Ahmadinejad have not become better, Korea is testing Weapons of Mass Destruction and pirates have made a comeback. (0) comments
Dear Mr. President, Mr. Vice President, I realize you have less than 10 days left in office, nearing your graduation and completion of your term in office of the Brockport Student Government. "Carpe diem, seize the day boys.Make your lives extraordinary," John Keating said in Dead Poet's Society. My senior English teacher showed this movie before graduation, and I have since tried to make my life extraordinary.
